Final Preliminary Storyboard

Shot 1 - 00:00-00:03
There is long shot of a brightly lit house in a dark street. The babysitter appears from the left side of the screen and walks towards the steps at the front of the house. The only sound is that of the babysitter's footsteps as she walks along the street. There is no dialogue.

Shot 2 - 00:03-00:09
There is then a mid-shot of the babysitter walking up the steps at the front of the house. The camera pans slightly as she moves up the steps. She rings the doorbell and the door opens partly. Again the only sounds heard in this shot are those of the babysitter's footsteps as she goes up the steps and the doorbell. There is no dialogue.

Shot 3 - 00:09-00:12
The next shot is a POV shot of the person behind the door. This is the mum. The door continues to open (leading on from the previous shot) and the babysitter is seen on the other side. This is when the dialogue starts. The mum says "Hi come in" and the babysitter says "Hiya". We can also still here the doorbell where it had previously been rung. The babysitter then walks into the house.

Shot 4 - 00:12-00:14
This is followed by a close up of the mum's hand on a white door. As she says "just come through here" she pushes the door open. The babysitter then says "oh right, thanks".

Shot 5 - 00:15-00:19
The next shot is from the other side of the door. The mum pushes it open and there is a mid-shot as both of the characters walk in to a living room. The mum says to the babysitter "if you just want to sit down there" and then points to a cream sofa in the left hand of the screen. The babysitter replies "thanks" and goes to sit down. The mum then turns around and closes the door.

Shot 6 - 00:20-00:23
There is then an over the shoulder shot from behind the babysitter's head so that you can see the mum's face. She has now sat down on another sofa opposite the one the babysitter has sat down on. The dialogue in this shot is from the mum, she says "the baby's upstairs asleep, she should be fine if you check on her every half an hour". Out of focus the babysitter nods her head.

Shot 7 - 00:23-00:25
The camera then swaps sides so that the next shot is an over the shoulder shot from behind the mum's head so that the babysitter's face is visible. The babysitter then says "yeah that's fine, if I have any problems then I'll just ring you."

Shot 8 - 00:26-00:29
The final shot is from the same angle shot 6 was from. A phone then starts to ring in the background and the mum says "excuse me, that's the house phone". She then leans over the side of the sofa to grab the phone.
