Different Genres

Every single film made falls into a certain genre or genres. Films can be categorised on many different elements including settings, props, story lines, time periods and more. The types of genres are extremely bast and can range from horror to romance to comedy to children's to adventure. It is key that the genre of a film is made clear to the adience so that they know what to expect from it.
For example, if you had a child and you wanted to take them to see a film at the cinema then you would not take them to see a horror as you would know that it is going to contain blood/gore, fighting, death etc and this would not be appropriate for a child. You'd look for a film that was possibly a cartoon and had characters and animals that were considered to be magic.
